It will stay connected if I connect while in the same room and then walk to another room, but if I go to bed and remember I want to shut it off I can't connect from that far away which negates the use of the Bluetooth. Bluetooth doesn't travel through walls well, which I knew, but I did expect it to work a little better. The Bluetooth only works in the same room or the next room, but not if I am downstairs or in a back bedroom in the house. I only gave 4 stars because I have one major gripe. It is substantially quieter so it is easier to have conversations or watch TV at a reasonable volume. This fan then continues that airflow into our vaulted ceiling living room and it has continued to keep the room more comfortable during the hot summer days. I like to use fans in my house to supplement my AC in the summer by moving the air more. This is a winner, we made the right choice! Also, it has both a timer and replacing a remote it has Bluetooth, which I haven’t tried. I am very happy that I got this fan, I think you will be too. Since it’s a tower on carpet it’s a bit less stable than on a hardwood floor but it does not wobble. When I bring it down to the wide-open basement, I’d like to have an option (Lasko hint for added feature) to increase it to a 90-degree angle but 45 degree works just right for 75% - 90% of the time. It oscillates, if you turn that feature on, but is limited to about 45 degree (say 12:00 to 1:30) which for a more targeted area is perfect. It is really quiet even on the highest (3rd) speed, it’s quiet NOT silent. With this there’s some assembly required (seriously 6 screws into the base) and the directions are well done.
